About our Society
ASCLS-MS (formally MSCLS) is an affiliate
society of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS).
We are one of eight states in ASCLS Region III along with Alabama,
Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, and
Tennessee.
ASCLS-MS is an organization made up of
laboratory professionals committed to improving the status of clinical
laboratories across the state. To achieve this goal, we provide members
with continuing education opportunities and up-to-date information on
local, state and federal regulations affecting Mississippi clinical
laboratories.
Vision/Mission Statement
The American Society for Clinical
Laboratory Science (ASCLS), as the preeminent organization for clinical
laboratory science practitioners, provides dynamic leadership and
vigorously promotes all aspects of clinical laboratory science practice,
education and management to ensure excellent, accessible cost-effective
laboratory services for the consumers of health care.
ASCLS serves as the voice of all clinical
laboratory professionals, creating a vision for the advancement of the
clinical laboratory practice field, and advocating the value and the
role of the profession ensuring safe, effective, efficient, equitable,
and patient centered health care.
